South Bowmanville Community Centre Phase 1 & 2

The new South Bowmanville Community Centre is a two-phase project that include renovations to the existing facility and the addition of a new recreation facility to house additional programming.

Located at Baseline and Green Roads, the renovation of the existing soccer dome creates new indoor spaces for basketball court and a new FIFA-sized multi-sport dome with three-lane indoor walking track. Multi-purpose rooms for fitness and recreation, including programs such as yoga, strength training, kids’ classes, as well as quiet rooms, new change rooms and accessible washrooms also form part of the project. Site works include the construction of a new ring road and new parking lot.

Phase 2 of the project, which is being constructed concurrent to Phase 1, includes a new aquatics centre with a 25-mtere main pool, warm water pool, large viewing areas, as well as associated change rooms and washrooms. Multi-purpose, community rooms also form part of the project.
