Description
The new Terminal 1 Expansion at Pearson Airport requires fixed pedestrian bridges to connect the new terminal with the aircraft passenger boarding bridges. The contract was tied to completion of the latest terminal work over a three year period and has required ongoing coordination with several other trade contractors to maintain strict schedules.
The bridges are situated in areas that were previously airport buildings or taxi aprons. As is the case when working in this type of environment, many unknown situations are encountered leading to contract change orders. JJM successfully negotiated and executed over $1 million in extra work while maintaining the vigorous schedule.
