McCaskills Mills School

A school addition for the Durham District School Board, the McCaskill Mills School project was designed by TSH Architects Ltd. with structural and mechanical consulting by Ellard-Willson Engineering Ltd. The addition was built to a high standard of construction, featuring concrete foundations, a masonry brick exterior, and a flat roof. Interior finishes included painted masonry block partitions, acoustical ceilings, VCT flooring, and ceramic-tiled washrooms with drywall and masonry block walls throughout.

J.J. McGuire was engaged as general contractor, delivering the addition to completion in May 2009. The project required close collaboration across the full consultant and trade team to meet the quality standards expected in an institutional school environment.
